LOOM, Yassassin, Hotel Lux, Scab Hand | Permanent Creeps Club (re)LAUNCH
The Macbeth of Hoxton
70 Hoxton Street, London, N1 6LP
Advance: GBP 4
Permanent Creeps Club is back! And we're delighted to announce the relaunch of our monthly club night at The Macbeth Of Hoxton, with a very special line up! PLUS Hoxton Radio DJ's.
Releasing two cassettes within their first year, LOOM received airplay from Zane Lowe and Daniel P Carter at Radio 1, along with continued coverage and Track of the Week in NME. Off the back of these singles, LOOM made the bill for the Rolling Stones Hyde Park show. And have now toured across the UK and Germany with artists including Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes, Queen Kwong, and Turbowolf
After taking a step back from the initial Hype, LOOM release their debut album on May 19th! "The debut album is the biggest statement a band makes. The songs we have written need to be presented exactly how we want them to be. We didn't want to be accused of contrived revivalism. We needed to find the right producers and the right label to understand where we were coming from. We now have that."
Like an incredibly pissed off Bananarama, or Debbie Harry on an understandable mad one after being asked to smile by a stranger on the street, Yassassin channel their anger and grievances into a clanging, twanging heap of New Wave nodding pop. "If you like my pretty face," snarl the band in a collective force on their second single 'Pretty Face.' "I'll wash it off" - DIY Mag
In the short time they have been playing together they have already perked the ears of a select few in the know. Matt Wilkinson? over at Beats One? was quick to champion them on his show and we're sure many more will quickly jump on the bandwagon once they hear them and catch a show." RIP Records
A new garage punk 3 piece emerging out of the Brighton underbelly.
