Brixton Precision presents ZAYA HASTRA (Full live band), described by Vogue as "a sure fire gem of the future", acclaimed contemporary artist Zaya Hastra presents her unique blend of House and Folk with the natural jazz tinged sound of South London.
Zaya's journey from artist to singer has been as captivating as it has been unusual. With a meteoric online following accustomed to her art now seeing a new and equally talented dimension. Her influences are evident, Shingai Shoniwa to Julio Bashmore, however the originality is unquestionable. Expect to see her across the festival circuit and everywhere else in 2019. We are proud to present what will be her first show with a full live 6 piece band featuring Hotbed keys player Josh Cutler, Morcheeba drummer Jaega McKenna and Sound of Rum Drummer/electronics mastermind Ferry Lawrenson

ESE & THE VOODUU PEOPLE, local Brixtonian rising star Ese plays her Hendrix/Lauryn Hill inspired songs with the incendiary Vooduu People: Ex Noisette and Mr Jukes drummer Pharoah Russell, Hootanannys very own Basile Petite, fellow rising star Destra Ross and keyboardist Jackson Baird. Ese's live shows have been described as "a Skunk Anansie concert at a Brooklyn block party". A killer live act, they are signed to Quadrafon Music Industries and have recorded two singles, "Dynamite" and "Fairytale" (both 2017). And with a second EP expected to drop just before this date, be prepared for a high energy show from the band as well as the crowd because this one has been a long time coming.
