ABOUT THE HEADLINERS:

ALOE BLACC - US Musician & Rapper, well known for his hit single ‘I Need A Dollar” and vocalist on Avicii’s International club smash ‘Wake Me Up’.

MAVIS STAPLES: Mavis Staples' recording career spans from the 1950s to the current day. In the '60s her band The Staple Singers were heavily aligned with the burgeoning American Civil Rights movement, she also dated Bob Dylan for many years and her songs have been covered by The Rolling Stones. Throughout the '70s Mavis had huge hits with tracks such as Respect yourself, I'll take you there and Let's do it again. Mavis Staples is widely credited as one of the greatest Gospel Soul voices of all time and a Hall Of Fame inductee and had a huge UK hit Nina Cried Power last year with Hozier. Following two sell out dates at Innervisions 2018, Mavis is back in 2019, by popular demand.

MACEO PARKER: Iconic American funk and soul jazz saxophonist, Parker is best known for his work with James Brown in the 1960s as well as Parliament Funkadelic in the 1970s. Parker was a prominent soloist on many of Brown’s hit records, and was a key figure in his band, playing alto, tenor and baritone saxophones and lyrically immortalised “Maceo, blow your horn”.  Since the early 1990s he has toured and performed under his own name as well as making guest appearances as part of Prince’s band New Power Generation including the legendary 21 nights in London in 2007. Parker has also performed with Ray Charles, De La Soul, James Taylor, Ani DiFranco and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

KRAFTWERK RE:WERK :  A ground-breaking new musical experiment, taking Kraftwerk’s iconic album Trans-Europe Express as the starting point for a thrilling symphonic trip, created by composers Charlotte Harding and Lloyd Coleman. A new hybrid music as much about Ligeti’s ear-bending soundscapes as late 70’s beats – all scored for a 39 piece ensemble – Kraftwerk Re:werk is an intoxicating mix of symphonic and electronic instruments, from drum machines, to bass oboes and electro harps.

THIEVERY CORPORATION: An American electronic music duo who mix elements of Dub, Acid Jazz, Reggae, Indian Classical, Middle Eastern, Hip Hop, Electronica, Brazilian and Bossa Nova.

VAN MORRISON:  Legendary Northern Irish singer songwriter Van Morrison, has a stream of hits behind such as ‘Brown Eyed Girl’, ‘Moondance’ ‘Jackie Wilson Said’, ‘Have I Told You Lately’ and ‘Gloria’. He’s an inductee into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame and was knighted for his services to the music industry and tourism in Northern Ireland.
