Andy Yoder's “Early One Morning” is a giant globe made out of thousands of painted matchsticks. He spent two years hand painting each match stick and gluing them to a frame of foam, cardboard, and plywood. He also treated the entire sculpture with flame retardant. This'll be on display at the Winkleman Gallery in NYC as part of the PULSE New York Contemporary Art Fair, May 8 to 11, if you're in the area.
