My style is very varied from hand drawn typography, graphic design and pattern design but I try to keep things as fun and interesting as possible, sometimes I like to work on projects which are a lot more graphic based but then mix it up with some hand drawn typography, I enjoy the mixture of clean design with some personality injected into it. My illustration work is again a mixture of styles, one day I will just work with sharpies and pencils but then the next day will use a variety of different paints to experiment and create something, thats the best thing about design you can do whatever you want as long as you put 100% into it.

As cliche as it sounds general day to day life inspires a lot of my work, it could be colours that I have seen, products, places, conversations, shapes of items and spaces I see and think ''that would be an amazing pattern''. For example a guy I know told me I was fab which inspired the 'How Fab are you?' pattern, it was kind of an indirect as well as a piece of work. Then the other day I popped to Liberty and saw their amazing flower display which conjured up floral friday patterns in my head, I just see ideas everywhere. Music is also a massive inspiration in my work especially with one of my projects Hip Hop baking, I am pretty much always listening to music.

I would never like to pin down a specific direction in which I would like to head in as I love so many elements of design and creativity, I'm really lucky to  have always worked within a creative environment whether it was working as a sales assistant at Size? and then Carhartt or helping with Charity Shop window displays. At the moment I am enjoying working as part of the design/marketing team at Mothers Meetings which is an amazing communications agency that connects lifestyle brands such as Nike, Bon Bon Balloons and Shoreditch house to name a few with influential parents through events and consultancy. I am also working on two personal projects, one being ''One pattern a day'' where I draw or paint one pattern everyday and I plan to do this for a whole year accumulating a whole range of different styles and the second designing and writing ''The Hip Hop baking book'' which started as a baking blog where I bake cakes and name them after rappers, for example this year I have baked the ''Wu Tang Flan, Grandmaster Flapjack, A$AP Rocky Road, Ja Roulade and D Double Decker cupcakes''. Thats just a few but I hope I can use my passion for baking, design and Hip Hop to make an actual Hip Hop baking book!

I was inspired to do the pattern project as at college we had a guest lecturer in who told us that we should never stop designing and that everyone graduates with a portfolio. I already loved patterns and the way that colours and shapes can interact with each other in different ways and have a book where I write down inspiring ideas each day so thought why not make this into something visual. So each day the pattern is inspired by something I have seen or done or liked during the day and that way I will end up with a visual diary of the whole year. My head is filled with ideas so its a great way to get at least one down on paper a day!
