A lot of my recent work is hand painted, besides instillation pieces I’ve worked on using 3d objects, fabrics and different materials. I would describe the visual aesthetics of my work as graphic and digitally inspired but I also have a lot of contrasting references I like to use. In terms of practice I generate ideas for composition and layout within sketchbooks, through photography and drawing, including colour and texture. The process generally develops initial ideas or preconceptions about how an image will look in my head.
I draw inspiration from lots of different places, architecture, geometry, digital technology, music, film, fashion, classic and contemporary art. I record and photograph things I find interesting and usually they’ll find there way into my work in one way or another. My friends also really inspire me, I like to surround myself with creative people.
In the near future I have shows coming up, collaborative and solo, consisting of more instillation and sculptural pieces. I also have plans to collaborate on a fashion design project, whilst continuing to develop large scale painting.
