I like to mix cuteness and grossness equally and do this by creating odd characters with detailed, bold line work and bright colours. I tend to draw all my designs by hand and then apply texture and colour digitally, although sometimes I will work straight into the computer with vectors ( this tends to be when I am being a bit more serious.) Having said that, I love painting and working on a large scale. I tend to work quickly, often producing a piece from start to finish in a day. I like to keep myself on my toes!

There are a handful of artists who I admire whose huge portfolio of work makes me want to draw straight away, Stephan Doitschinoff being my personal favourite. I am fortunate enough to have a group of sickeningly talented peers around me as well that make me ache with jealousy and push myself to be better.

Music inspires me a lot, whether designing in response to a piece of music or designing merch, album covers or posters for bands. Gig posters have definitely been my thing recently. Laughter, good times and good beer also get me going. I like to make work that makes people happy and that offers more every time you look at it.

Oh, and you know those horrible close up shots in shows like Spongebob Squarepants and Ren and Stimpy? Yeah them.

I would love to get my fingers in a mix of pies as a freelance illustrator/designer. Promotion for music events and bars is something I would love to do, as well as designing labels for craft beers and other cool brands. I also love editorial illustration and have been told that i would make a good creative director one day.

I have a good DIY aesthetic as well, so would like to be making prints and t-shirts alongside my commissioned work.
But for now, I am just going to be boosting my portfolio and getting my name out there!
