Beneficial Shock! Magazine takes its name from a quote by Alfred Hitchcock - the effect he wished to have on viewers - and this is the same ethos which drives creators Gabriel Solomons and Phil Wrigglesworth; expect 'illustration, visual documentation and design in humorous and irreverent ways to expressively interpret film related content.'

The issues are grounded in a certain theme and the first edition is centred around food. Contributors on this occasion include Jay Wright, Eleanor Shakespeare, Jakob Hinrichs plus many more, and topics include European art-house cinema and Hitchcock's Psycho. In the next copy, expect the idea of 'the mind' to be taken on...
