BRISTOL BIENNIAL IS COMING

Written by James Ratcliffe
23 Wednesday 23rd April 2014

The artwork will travel around the city for a two year period, addressing ideas of place and change, permanence and transition. Badham hopes that I'M STAYING will build its own relationship with the places it inhabits and people who encounter it.

Following the May launch, the public are invited to vote online for the next Bristol location. The artwork will be re-installed in the site that receives the most votes. The first relocation will take place in September 2014 to coincide with Bristol Biennial.

I'M STAYING is produced in partnership with Blink Giant Media and hosted by Arnolfini. Bristol Biennial will launch the project during the Bristol Art Weekender in the May Bank Holiday weekend.

About the artist:
Shaun C Badham (1990) was born in Essex and studied Fine Art at UWE. He lives and works in London, and is currently studying MFA Fine Art at Goldsmiths, University of London. Badham has been selected for solo and group exhibitions, performances and residencies throughout the UK and Europe.
