The Bristol Pound are inviting local artists to help them design the new set of paper Bristol Pounds.
Two of the previous winners have developed professional careers from this opportunity so whether you’re a student, professional or amateur, your designs could be seen on TV and all over the city – which would be a pretty cool thing to show off about at your next house party.
Your design or illustration should reflect the wonderful lives and values of the people here in Bristol. The four themes that will feature this year are:
1) Art & Culture
2) Community & Diversity
3) Innovation & Technology
4) European Green Capital 2015
Interested? You can enter as an individual, class, team or even company. Your art can be designed in any medium – pen, ink, graphics, photography, paint, whatever works best for you.
Entries are open to anybody living or working within the BS1 postcode area. The competition will run for a month from 16th February 2015, closing at 5:30pm on the 16th March 2015.
When the competition opens you can submit your finished pieces using an online form at bristolpound.org/competition, email your art to email@example.com or post entries to The Bristol Pound, 103 First Floor, Corn Exchange, Corn Street, Bristol, BS1 1JQ.
