Take a few steps back from/squint your eyes at Conrad Jon Godly’s landscape paintings and you might as well be looking at a photograph of the Swiss Alps, but Up close the landscapes appear to be a thick, almost random mix of blue, white and black, the result oils mixed with turps to create a thick impasto that even drips from the canvas. Have a gander:
