He pieced together four pistons which slowly crush everyday objects. Simultaneously, a CD-Drive records the noise of the object splintering into a mess. He then spliced these sounds into some unlistenable 20 minute Soundcloud.
The video is as satisfying as any footage of metal and plastic being crushed. The music, on the other hand, sounds like a Sigur Ros b-side being pumped through caramel. The horror.
The installation, titled 'oil', is on show at the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, Moscow, if you want to head to Russia to crush your old Nokia.
