Samsung has unveiled a new advertising series for their cameras that reimagines famous self portraits as though they were taken on a camera, running the tag line “For Self Portraits, Not Selfies”.
Can you imagine meeting someone who referred to their selfies as a self portrait? That guy would be going the right way for a serious camera stomping.
If you consider Frida Kahlo’s stance on capitalism and the fact Vincent Van Gogh was a poor, unknown artist who never sold a painting, the advertising campaign does come off as a little skewed. But either way, Samsung are making the big bucks, as always. View the collection below:
