2016 marks 400 years since one of the world's best wordsmiths, William Shakespeare, passed away. To commemorate the occasion, Shakespeare's Globe, the Barbican and the City of London Corporation are hosting events to celebrate the man's work and his continuing influence.
Our mates at Don't Panic London have worked with the City of London to create a series of humourous graphics that ask: just how far have we come over hundreds of years? Check out a few below.
Don't Panic attempt to credit photographers and content owners wherever possible, however due to the sheer size and nature of the internet this is sometimes impractical or impossible. If you see any images on our site which you believe belong to yourself or another and we have incorrectly used it please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will respond asap.
