IT'S TIME WE RECOGNISED LOG ART

Does anyone else remember that bit from Ren & Stimpy about the log? You know, "What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs and over your neighbour's dog?" Boy, am I glad I didn't discover that when I was chain-smoking kush and experimenting with suspect hallucinogens.

On account of that bit of luck, I firmly believe it was one of the best - and not totally horrifying - pieces of log-based culture to spring from the western world - until today. I found this while browsing tumblr a moment ago. The wildly impressive sculpture is supposedly by a Japanese artist called Kanemaki Kaorushun. However, googling his name only returns results from other tumblr accounts.

This is an immediate red-flag for me. If this woodworking turns out to be a 3D-rendering mocked up by Dreamworks to promote a new tumblr-funded animation about an aromantic log-kin with multiple head-mates I won't be surprised. If any one has any other info please let me know!
