JASON DOLAN DRAWS NEW YORK

Jason Polan is an illustrator from New York City who has set himself the ambitious challenge of drawing every single person in the Big Apple. A large feat for any man to achieve by himself but even more considering there an estimated 8,363,710 people living in the city alone. But it appears to be working out so far.

His blog is now filled with pages of great sketches, from celebrities and friends to random strangers in one of America’s favorite fast food joints. Anyone visiting New York may even find themselves becoming part of Jason's project too. Just email Jason a street corner or other public place that you will be standing at for the duration of two minutes and hopefully you may just see someone doodling you from across the street. Sound good? Well, it looks great and it's all in the name of art.

Jason's favorite sketching hot spots are said to be subway stations, museums, restaurants and street corners. "I try not to be in the way when I am drawing or be too noticeable." says Polan, who has been able to capture many intimate moments that are otherwise ordinarily missed in the blink of an eye.

You can see more of Jason's work and find out how he's getting along with his project by visiting his official blog.
