KATSU'S DRONE PAINTINGS

KATSU is a hell of a guy, while maintaining all the fun vandalism elements of graffiti, he's also keen on branching out. In 2013, in collaboration with other members of the free technology collective F.A.T Lab, he started placing his graffiti tags in the video game Minecraft, and in 2010, he created fake (but very realistic) videos of himself spray painting the White House (video below) and a Picasso. For a while, many in the art world were fooled, and pissed off.

His new project isn't digital or fake, but it's certainly utilising some new technology. He has developed a system to attach a spray can to a quadcopter, creating the world's first true graffiti drone. The drone is capable of spraying canvases or walls hundreds of feet high, granting him access to physical spaces that were previously inaccessible. Check it out:

Let's all get one!
