When you're at school, those bloody lot from the opposite sex can you really get on your tits can't they? You just want to get rid of them and be done with it. Especially if you're a girl and you have been reading the cult novel Flowers In The Attic by Virgina Andrews, you'll undoubtedly get the idea to poison and kill all the boys in your year with arsenic - that, I imagine is the norm, right? Alas not, although it is the premise for Sofia Coppola's debut short film, which was released in 1998, named Lick The Star. The style of the film is a very reminiscent of Sofia Coppola’s future work and makes American High School look way cooler than the local comprehensive in Reading, murder aside, obviously.
