LIVE YOUR DREAMS WITH SOMNAI

‘Sleep hath its own world, and a wide realm of wild reality. And dreams in their development have breath, and tears, and tortures, and the touch of joy’

 - Lord Byron

Whether it's flying, fucking, your teeth falling out or all three, the content and purpose of our dreams have never been fully understood. Despite being a topic of scientific speculation, as well as a subject of philosophical and religious interest, throughout recorded history we still have no real idea why we keep dreaming about that person from the District Line. But thanks to a new immersive theatre experience we maybe one step closer to realising our deepest reveries.

Somnai is a new augmented-reality show, created by Dotdotdot. Beginning in March, in an abandoned warehouse in Clerkenwell the experience is set in a not too distant future where a mysterious AI helps humans explore the hidden depths of our dreams, whether they're sweet or sinister. Shrouded in mystery, it's not completely clear what the show will be about, but if the promo films are anything to go by it looks sure to be an ambiguously creepy experience for all involved.

Maybe theatre will thrive, where science, philosophy and religion have failed!
