LONDON'S MELTING HOUSE OF WAX

Don't worry, this isn't a rubbish allusion to Paris Hilton's passable movie debut (sorry I have very low standards). A pound of flesh for 50p (the melting house) is a new installation by Alex Chinneck. The structure, on Southwark Street in south London, is made entirely out of wax, and in its 30 day residency it should melt into a colourful gloop under the Autumn light.

The piece is part of Merge Festival, and it reflects the legacy of a candle factory formerly situated in the area. It's on display until 18 November if you want to go and see it.
