SATTA SKATES

Fresh deck graphics are all very well, but Satta Skates, based in Brixton, produce super-slick wooden skateboards with illustrations screen printed by hand onto the side, taking things to a whole other level.

The boards’ distinctive styles are influenced by the decks around in the 70s and the fishboards of the 80s. They’ve created a minimalist board in their collaboration with Hypebeast, London based illustrator Stevie Gee joined forces with them for a few designs too, and some of the decks were kicking around at the Pick Me Up festival. Fancy feeling like you’re surfing and skating at the same time? Then hit up Satta Skates here and check out their Tumblr for some great old skateboarding photos and graphics.
