Depending on your age you may remember Simon Amstell as one half of the very funny king and queen of Channel 4 Sunday morning hang over TV or as one of the hilarious presenters on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. In recent times Amstell also wrote and starred in BBC2’s Sitcom, Grandma’s House, but after moving away from presenting, Amstell has been focussing on honing his craft as a stand-up comic. Having been a sell-out addition to the Edinburgh Fringe festival for several years he is now parking his career as a presenter in favour of taking to the stage for a series of his own live shows.
After previewing at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe, Amstell kicked off his fourth international tour ‘To Be Free’, in October which will be winging its way to Bristol’s Colston Hall on Thursday 26th February. The show promises to explore freedom, joy, love, death, adventure, art, peace, sex, regret, success, eating, suffering, dreaming, healing in his famous quick witted and off-hand manner.
