SOME PAINTINGS BY GEORGE W. BUSH

Super-hacker, Guccifer, last year gained access to the personal email accounts of Dorothy Bush, the former president’s sister. A wonderful collection of paintings by Bush were by far the best finds of the whole exploitative business – and now we’re in for a whole new spectrum of subject matter – because Bush has been bloody at it again.

In his new collection, the former president gets pretty experimental. I’m talking cow-donkey-hybrid experimental.

It seems his newfound innovation has even stunned his mentors. Bonnie Floor, a Georgia artist, told Fox 5 Atlanta that she spent a month in Boca Raton teaching the president to paint. She had the following to say:

“He started off painting dogs. I think he said he painted 50 dogs. He pulled out this canvas and started painting dogs and I thought, 'Oh my God, I don't paint dogs!"

In Bush’s defense, dogs are the most fun ever. However, it seems this isn’t an opinion shared by all, as some critiques have been quick to slam the budding artist’s subject matter. Art’s blogger Greg Allen wrote:

“It's tempting to wonder just what he's thinking about, whether he's contemplating his legacy, his mistakes, his father's illness, whatever, it's really impossible to know. There really isn't enough evidence to imagine a deep inner life at all, just an old man alone.”

Remember that time when Greg Allen said ‘just an old man alone’? That was fun, right?

Anyway, why not have a look at some of Bush’s work below and do some opinion forming of your own.
