We got these in the post (the email inbox) this morning, we really love them.
Beyond money, individual success and fame, there is something humans long for: time. Or more adequately stated: More Time. It is the largest capital that human beings have, and it’s spent faster than any fortune.
We are born to live. A chronometer starts and seems to accelerate over the years. Only death can stop time. At the end of the road, our memories determine who we are, what we have lived and how we managed our time.
Inspired by the British Romantic literature, the works on the street represent scenes of the ephemeral and dirty twilight of life, while the artwork in the gallery shows moments of everlasting youth and beauty. Just like the chilling picture of Dorian Gray.
Tempus Fugit is an exhibition of 16 works – 8 on the streets of London and 8 in the gallery. All the original works and photographs of the walls can be viewed at the next pop-up exhibition at RexRomae Gallery from 24 - 30 April.
