It is always inspiring to see illustrators and artists mix mediums to create innovative projects, showing that there's a correlation between all art forms. If you can think it, you can probably do it. And this lady certainly has done just that.
Her label was launched at London Fashion Week in 2012 after she graduated from the Royal College of Art. Her college collection of printed scarves was picked up by Browns who clearly thought it was as special as we do. Since then Emma has gone on to win a whole host of prizes, including the Emerging Fashion Brand prize at the WGSN Global Fashion Awards and the RISE Newcomer Award at the UK Fashion & Textile Awards.
Each piece of work is hand drawn in pencil (you can see some really nice examples of her process on her website www.emmajshipley.com). The drawings are then printed onto the softest looking fabrics, from silks to cashmere. Her use of colour will add some pizzazz to any outfit. Personal favorites are the pinks and blues in Expedition Silk Peau D'Ange Scarf and Aurora Classic Silk Scarf, which can also be seen on her website.
We're giving you the chance to win a £200 voucher to spend at Emma's online shop. Click here to get involved.
