In less than two weeks from now the 7th annual Boomtown Fair will descend upon the sleepy town of Winchester. The Fair will bring an array of artists, performers and 22 stages that will incorporate ska, reggae, drum and bass and garage, along with the many things in between to the Hampshire town.
Boomtown is renowned throughout the worldwide festival scene for the extraordinary installations that can be found at The Fair, meaning it is as impressive visually as it is audibly. You only need to look at past pictures to understand the level of craftsmanship that goes into the stages and you can bet this year will be no different.
Line up highlights include a rare UK festival performance from Stephen Marley who is sure to cause a traffic jam at the Trench Town Stage, The Mouse Outfit representing Manchester, and a much-anticipated performance from the reggae legend Barrington Levy.
Boomtown also caters for almost every sub-genre of Drum and Bass however the highlights have to be LTJ Bukem throwing down a jungle set and the Metalheadz takeover for all things techy.
Natty also features on the bill and is sure to slow things down and provide a brief but much-needed acoustic getaway for everyone in attendance.
Head over to the Boomtown website to check the rest of the line-up and grab one of the last remaining tickets. See you there, front left speaker.
