PIZZA, POUTINE AND PUNK; POUZZA FESTIVAL, MONTREAL

There's a festival in Montreal that is so cool it's named itself after pizza with a dollop of poutine on top. For anyone who doesn't already know (I didn't until I asked our good friend Google) poutine is a Canadian dish of 'french fries and cheese curds topped with a light brown gravy'. It sounds very much like our own cheesy chips and gravy, but we can argue about who own's the rights to our favourite sober-upper later...

Where the dish might slow you down the festival gets you pumped. The festival takes place in Montreal and brings together the finest punk rock bands from all over the world. If you're more at home in a mosh pit than on a dance floor than Pouzza's rambunctious crowds are just right for you.

Over 200 bands will perform in different venues all within walking distance from each other. American hardcore band Sick Of It All headline alongside Less Than Jake with support from a plethora of talent; including The Sainte Catherines, The Suicide Machines, The Dreadnoughts and Dead To Me.

Tickets are on sale now and the event is coming up this month so let your impulses get the better of you and purchase your ticket now before it's too late.

If you don't, it's going to be the dance floor for you.
