A genius in Belfast has opened a crisp sandwich shop. Oh my god. Shit just got real, folks.
From Monster Munch to cheese balls, Frazzles and Space Raiders (personal favourite), this crisp sandwich shop of dreams is a first for the UK.
The pop-up cafe called ‘Simply Crispy’ on Bedford Street, Belfast opened yesterday and sold out within two hours. Wow.
‘Simply Crispy’ has 35 different types of crisps and a variety of different breads to suit every crisp sarnie lover out there. If that wasn’t enough, you can add ham and cheese if you want to (of course you want to). If that still isn’t enough, your sandwich will come with chips and soup. *drools*
In this interview, Andrew McMenamin, who owns the The Wee Café housing the pop up crisp shop explains how it all began and how he wants to ‘stay true’ to Northern Irish products.
The idea is following on from the success of the Cereal Killer Cafe on Brick Lane in London.
Well... I’m really close to leaving and getting a plane to Ireland right now.
