The New York Times recently sent a group of sixth graders from Brooklyn to Daniel, in Manhattan. The fancy pants restaurant charges $220 a head for the kind of plates favoured by russian mobsters, human traffickers and investment bankers. So it makes a nice change to see a load of enthusiastic kids pick over the small, artfully arranged plates.
