In 2008, Iceland was hit by a financial crisis and the its economy suffered immensely as financial services were an important part of its industry. The next year, fast food giant McDonald's pulled out of the country as costs became prohibitively expensive. In 2013, a bus hostel was being decorated in Reykjavik and welcomed donations; one item handed over was the last burger and chips sold in Iceland via the golden arches, check out this documentary to see how its doing...
