Since he released sixth album Syro in 2014, Aphex Twin - aka Richard D James - has had a prolific streak, creating a Soundcloud account dense with unreleased material, comissioning an autistic child to create a music video for one of his Cheetah EP tracks and now revealing that he'll perform at London's Field Day festival on 3 June, 2017.

It'll be the first Aphex Twin-billed appearance in the UK for almost a decade, while he's set to play Day For Night festival in Texas this December.

James is to headline a two hour set at The Barn, a brand new stage featuring high tech lighting and sound facilities, similar in construction to an aircraft hanger.

Tickets for the festival are available at 9am on Thursday, 1 December. Head over here for further details or, in Aphex Twin parlance, come to daddy!
