FERGUSON PROTEST SOUNDTRACKED BY DEV HYNES

Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange has just provided the soundtrack for an edit of the recent Ferguson protests in NYC. The piano piece was improvised at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, presumably as he watched the footage. It's a really unique project, as the rhythm and energy of the score reacts to the fervour of the protestors. Have a watch:

Hynes has never hesitated to offer his views on the death of Mike Brown or similar cases of police brutality. Lately, his Twitter's served as a unique source of passionate, rational comment on such things, and I wouldn't be surprised if his influence soon extends beyond music.
