HENNESSY VERY SPECIAL FT JP COOPER AND KOJEY RADICAL

Ever compared the blending of different styles of music with the blending of alcohol? No? You wouldn’t need to! Because Hennessy UK has done it for you! Rejoice!

Hennessy has brought together Musical poet Kojey Radical and singer JP Cooper to perform an original live track in Abbey Road studios. But it’s more than just another studio session, the track was live-to-vinyl recorded. As music and studio aficionados will be aware, the technical skill required of the recording and mastering engineers to capture live-to-vinyl recordings is incomparable. It’s how Abbey Road first started in 1931 with a live performance by an orchestra or performer without multiple takes and mixing.  Along with JP Cooper’s ten-piece band they exclusively recorded the first and only live performance of ‘Party’.

The collaboration was organised by Hennessy UK's new partnership with Abbey Road Studio, Masters of Potential. From Yung Lean to nearly any rap song, Hennessy has long been intertwined with music culture.  Now it's playing a major role in the creative process, rather than just being used in music videos. The Masters of Potential panel will bring together artists to blend their sounds, musical histories and skill sets and we’re buzzing to see the next installments.
