We have reason to believe that Lincoln Barrett, better known as High Contrast may have finally lost it after releasing a punk rock Christmas protest song commissioned by with The Welsh National Opera. The track entitled ‘Black Christmas’ reflects on Christmas and the consumerism that surrounds it. Lincoln describes the track as aggressive, raw and a bit obnoxious, which is only the beginning. He goes on to talk of the lack of protest and political songs in comparison to the 60s and 70s and suggests this might be because of the volume of people who are not ‘politically switched on’. We remain this track is not going to combat this problem.
We have been left baffled by the whole ordeal, but don’t take our word for it. Have a listen and download the track for free here:
