ITS NOT ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC: MOXIE

DJing can mean a lot of travelling, late nights and an irregular sleeping pattern, how do you unwind and relax?
Catching up with an episode of Eastenders in the bath with a cup of tea always sorts me out.

From your time working on the radio with the likes of Benji B, who has been your favourite guest?
Recently I had the House legend Kerri Chandler on my NTS show, he was probably one of the nicest and most humble people i've ever interviewed. There was also another time when i used to help out on Benji's show a few years back. He'd arranged to have Erykah Badu on but we had to go to a members club in Covent Garden to interview her. Usually I'm not that nervous when i meet celebrities but with someone like Erykah i suddenly became so nervous that i didn't even know where to look but she was really lovely so it was all ok in the end.

Have there ever been any disasters/mishaps during or in the build up to one of your radio shows?
I try my best to get everything prepped in time but there have definitely been some moments over the years at NTS. There was one time where i had to go to the toilet but the one near to the studio was out of order so i had to run into another building about 5/10 minutes away. I had Scratcha DVA on the show and thought everything was good to go for his guest mix but turned out as soon as i left everything seemed to go wrong! We eventually got there in the end and thankfully that's one of the only times that's happened.

Can you give us the best film(s) you have watched recently?
I recently saw American Hustle which i thought was great but it was only after that i realised Christain Bale was the lead character!

What was your favourite cartoon/tv show growing up?
Hands down 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Hero Turtles', I had the lunch box, stationary kit and everything else you could imagine.

Where is your favourite place to eat in London? Any tips for our readers?
I recently went to an amazing family run Argentinian restaurant called Buen Ayre on broadway market, if you're into good meat this is the place for you.

Where is your favourite place to party?
There are a lot of great places to party in London but i've especially loved playing Fabric and XOYO recently.

Whats next for Moxie in 2014?
I'm doing some special one off shows with NTS this year including a 6 hour take over on February 28th featuring. Breach & Eats Everything. Also really looking forward to Field Day & Tramlines.

You can catch Moxie at Low Slung on Friday 28th February at Basing House
