Since Kendrick Lamar released Good Kid, M.A.A.D City two years ago, hip-hop's taken a different route. Not that there was anyone on earth who didn't like the seminal album, but its lasting impact, and narrative style, was partially forgotten thanks to DJ Mustard's trap juggernaut which has since dominated the airwaves.
Luckily, Kendrick is back just in time to remind us why he's the rap James Joyce (not my words, but true) with this Isley Brothers sampling, 'i'. Enjoy.
