Kendrick Lamar's new album, To Pimp A Butterfly, wasn't as easy a first listen as Good Kid..., so it may be a while before I consider hijacking the party's Spotify so I can play it (sorry to everyone who had to listen to 'Backseat Freestyle' for a whole year).
One instant standout from the album was the track 'King Kunta', which strayed away from the meandering jazz stuff and stuck to bars and beats about Compton aka what Kendrick does best. The video is a fitting tribute to his hometown.
