Jean Harlow was an actress and pin-up in the 1930s who is often quoted on Facebook by that girl you were in love with at school and are now elated to have nothing to do with. The pop culture incarnation of that girl, Lana Del Rey, was recently photographed at Harlow's old mansion in Beverly Hills for arts publication Marfa Journal.
The team at Marfa got LDR to pitch a tent in the driveway for the editorial, then snapped her in a very pleasing, lo-fi, 35mm style, surrounded by surfboards and guys who look like they live in campervans. It's literally the most Lana Del Rey thing I've seen Lana Del Rey do and my god I love it.
Head to the Marfa website for more info.
