When Nicki Minaj unleashed the hardest verse of her career in Monster, the bruising cut that pops up in the middle of Kanye's MBDTF, everyone thought she was going to be the greatest female rapper since pre-mess Lil' Kim.
Sensibly, she decided to forgo critical acclaim, opting instead to focus on club friendly jams that would appeal to 13 year-old white females and make her a multi-millionaire. My personal fave was Starship, which was the aural equivalent of eating too much candy floss at the fair.
