Lyric videos are a cost-effective boon for musicians. It means they can churn out viral Vevo hits without having to hire locations, choreograph dances, or even get out of bed. Sadly, watching a load of words flash across a screen can get really boring for the fans, so Nicki Minaj's team thought they'd spice up her latest lyric vid by commodifying a few Nazi tropes.
In the video for Only, Minaj teams up with Breezy, Weezy and Drizzy, for their own YMCMB Nuremberg rally, albeit in cartoon form. Seeing as two of these guys have been found guilty for gun possession and battering women, I'm not really sure why people are acting as if this is their most egregious act.
Let them shock for the sake of it, who even cares any more. What we should be concerned with is the abysmal opening verse by Minaj. Talk about phoning it in from a place with no signal.
