Warner Music have released a Spotify playlist and not only can you win a whole load prizes but you get to revisit the days when you too used to love Rock.
Sometimes I tire of hearing people claim announce that their favorite genre of music is 'House' or worse 'EDM'... every new album seems to be 'New Wave' or some newly developed strand of R&B. It is a movement I have been a part of and one that I am guilty of partaking in.
I too love house music, I too enjoy evenings spent listening to FKA Twigs and Tinashe and yes I bloody love D'Angelo. But I wasn't always like this. Back in my hay day it was all about guitar rifs and 'gigs' and boys with long hair. I drew Adam Lazara for a GCSE project after experiencing live music for the first time at Taste of Chaos 2006, the first in a long line of ticket stubs used to litter every corner of my bedroom.
Not one to dwell on the past, I have left this era of my life in my teens but that's not to say that my spine wouldn't still prickle at the intro to 'Cute Without the E'.
So, for all of you out there (and I know there are a lot) who share the same journey through music that I have done, get ready to get all nostalgic with the 'Play Loud' Spotify playlist. Follow here and you can win a tonne of CDs, vinyl and merch from old favorites to new.
So go on, enjoy!
