Record Store Day 2014 At Rise Record Store Day 2014 takes place on 19th April – the annual celebration of vinyl & independent stores will be celebrated at all three Rise stores with an exciting line up of live music & events alongside the 100s of exclusive releases.
There will be performances in the Bristol store from hotly tipped & regular customer George Ezra; East India Youth who released his debut album to widespread acclaim earlier this year; up & coming four-piece Woman’s Hour; a DJ set from patten who recently released his debut album on Warp & Mute records signed Big Deal. Beans on Toast will play all 3 Rise stores – starting in Bristol. Alongside these national acts will be some of Bristol’s finest new artists with Goan Dogs, Adding Machine & Something Anorak taking to the stage.
All the performances will take place on the ground floor of the store where & food will be available from Friska café. Rise will also host DJs on both ground & first floor. Rise stores in Cheltenham & Worcester will also play host to festivities with local bands playing in both stores on the day. All three stores will open their doors at 8am to welcome the crowds of loyal customers – many who queue patiently overnight to get a chance of securing one of the many sought after limited vinyl releases.
