Ben E. King, the legendary soul singer best known for the song 'Stand By Me' - which may be one of the best known songs period - has died aged 76.
Stand By Me was first released in 1961, but re-captured the public's attention following the 1986 release of the film of the same name. You've all heard the track, so here's a live version sung by King at the inauguration of President Bill Clinton, featuring Luther Vandross, Melissa Etheridge and a host of other 90s juggernauts.
The sound quality is terrible, but then you can't have too much stimulation.
And here's the original.
