Shake Awake, a brand new morning rave event, is planning to revolutionise the mornings of the people of Bristol. It believes that people need to wake up and embrace the day full of energy and inspiration. They need to be the master of their own morning.
The morning rave and conscious clubbing culture that is sweeping the nation has inspired a group of Bristol students to bring this scene to their city, but with a unique twist.
On Monday 15th of December, from 6.30-9.30am, Lakota will be transformed into a vibrant hub offering eclectic dance music, smoothies and breakfast snacks that will kickstart your week, and yoga and massage that will help shake off any of those weekend cobwebs. What’s more, everything on offer will be sourced in line with Shake Awake’s aim to mobilise local brands, businesses and organisations, whilst connecting locals and students alike to the wonders that the city has to offer.
Working alongside the Bristol Hub, an initiative that transforms students’ involvement with social and environmental challenges in Bristol and around the world, the event aims to enrich the minds and bodies of Bristol and create a space where local people and businesses can build sustainable relationships.
“We wanted to create a positive morning movement within Bristol”, said the event organisers. “An event where people will dance their way into the day and feel energised during these cold winter months. We wanted to turn the rave scene on its head, creating a form of conscious clubbing that will provide people with an invigorating, active morning experience. But most of all, we wanted to create something unique and entertaining, making people excited to jump out of bed in the morning.”
So come and enjoy the funky rhythms of the morning at Shake Awake. Have a boogie. Stretch those legs. Enjoy a freshly-made smoothie or a stress-releasing massage. Join us for the full 3 hours or simply drop in for half an hour before work. Either way, we’re sure there is no better way to start your day.
