YouTuber TheSheik1976 unearthed another piece of classic rehearsal footage, this time a scene rehearsal for Reservoir Dogswith Quentin Tarantino and Steve Buscemi.
Weeks before shooting began, while they were in preproduction, Tarantino was accepted into the Sundance Institute Directors Workshop Lab, a program that helped young directors and writers with mentorship and practical experience. Tarantino, whose only directing experience at that time was an unfinished short film, got the chance to direct scenes with video cameras and professional actors before taking on his Resevoir Dogs for real.
In the sequence below, Tarantino is filling in as Mr. White (Harvey Keitel ultimately took the role) and Buscemi as his high-wired Mr. Pink. It's a piece of ruddy history.
