Suge Knight professes that he did nothing wrong in the alleged robbery of a camera from a photographer known for getting up close and personal in celebrities' business. The photographer, according to Suge, was taking photos and videos of his kid, and refused to stop when asked. Knight claims they took the camera to delete the pictures before returning it.
A video posted on TMZ tells a very different story, showing the notoriously terrifying Suge threatening the photographer, saying he had a 'bitch who would beat her ass'. The current charge against him suggests he may have followed through.
Due to his previous convictions, in their masses, Suge Knight is facing a life sentence. Things aren't going too well for Knight, who just 12 days prior to the robbery incident was shot six times at a Chris Brown party in Hollywood. Aside from his label's former success, including The Chronic by Dr Dre, he is notoriously connected to the murders of both Tupac and Biggie, with many theorists convinced he is responsible for the deaths of both.
The murder of Tupac was reportedly to stop him leaving Death Row Records and to secure his unreleased work, material that would be priceless after his death. Biggie's murder was then thought to have been staged, to make it seem like the two had fallen victim to East vs. West rivalries. Theories aside, Suge Knight has had actual altercations with the law for the following: drug possession, assault, disorderly conduct, probation violation, robbery and traffic violations in the last decade alone. For Suge, one count of camera robbery equates to a regular person shooting up a school.
Posting bail of $75,000, Suge is to return from hospital to his home in California, though he's facing up to 30 years in prison for all his wrongdoings. Doctors don't believe the blood clot to be life threatening, but as evident in the shootings he's been involved in over the years, life in prison may be safer than a life on the outside.
