As some of you may have heard, Wireless festival was successfully gatecrashed this weekend when a horde of people crashed through a gate, obviously. Although flagrantly flouting the rules makes for titillating viewing, something about this seems so depressing.
Granted, festival's these days are almost deserving of this sort of act when they're just a shitshow of corporate sponsorship, £5 pints and outrageous ticket prices. But then they're also just festivals. This isn't a march toward financial justice through civil unrest. This isn't even daubing 'yuppies out' on a Foxton's. This is just being a bit of a wasteman.
Then again, if I saw that gate swing open and I happened to be passing by, I would probably think about it. But then I am a massive wasteman.
