THE MASKED MAN COMES TO BRISTOL

This Friday 7th February, Room 237 presents the Berlin-based Redshape, bringing his live show to the prison cells of Nelson Street. The Island will host a night of hyperextended Detroit rhythms, consistent beats and cinematic vibes. Sebastian Kramer’s production alter ego Redshape brings his crowd a night of minimal techno and mid-tempo electronics. With support from Turbo Recording’s Joe Farr, Luke Handsfree and Room 237’s very own Black Amiga, you can expect a creation of ominous atmospheres with relatively light sounds.

Ironically, Redshape seeks to avoid repetition. By developing and altering his live shows from venue to venue, he provides unique sounds for each different crowd. His style has been welcomed into almost every well-known club in Europe. His underground music style coincides with his underground identity, which remains undisclosed. He owes this to his trademark red mask, which accompanies him to his numerous club dates. Masks are commonly used for performance in African tribal cultures. Believed to represent the spirit of the ancestors and come to life, possessed by the performance and are enhanced by the music and atmosphere of the occasion.

Redshape has been recognised for uniting new and old music fans with his timeless production. If this night sounds like something you don’t want to miss out on, we suggest you get your tickets and indulge in some Island vibes.
