TRACK OF THE WEEK: GOLD PANDA

08 Monday 08th November 2010
The sound of dreamy electro pop artist Gold Panda has been filling up a lot of space in our minds lately. His music, a lot of it inspired by Japanese culture, is a fresh new sound that is finally showing us something that hasn't been done before. Busy yet calm, it sets the perfect scene for this winter, you can almost feel the chilling wind and cosy wool jumpers.

Gold Panda has also done a number of remixes of well-known artists, such as Bloc Party, Simian Mobile Disco and HEALTH. He takes the songs of others and twists them into something that is undoubtedly his, a reinvention of familiar styles.

Today though we have one of his very own tracks, 'Snow and Taxis'. A typically hypnotizing track from his new album Lucky Shiner. Wrap up warm, put your headphones in and go for a walk in the snow. How idyllic.
