Skateboard flicks are becoming some of the most progressive pieces of filmmaking out there. The days of grainy fisheye, 411VM and clips of Dustin Dollin vomiting in Baker 3 are long gone (not that Baker 3 wasn't one of the best skate vids of all time).
Take, for instance, Urban Isolation, a short film by Russell Houghten. He's managed to enlist some masterful trickery to fashion a totally deserted LA, replete with empty freeways for the skaters to explore.
